This year’s track season is in full effect. The Kimball High track and field team is excited for what is to come.

Coach Trombley, the head of track and field, says he is excited for the upcoming season because this year 75% of the team is new and he is ready to see what they are capable of and where they will all end up by the time the season is over. “We definitely have a chance this year. I believe that if they give it their all we can get to the VOL Championships,” Trombley said.

Deion Lightfoot, a senior at Kimball well known for being #1 in Northern California for running hurdles, said that he is looking forward to another great year competing with great people.

Waad Ahmed, a senior at Kimball, said she is most looking forward to states and the VOL Championships. In reference to tomorrow’s meet on March 11th, Waad stated, “Strategically we should be able to get first place. The people we have in specific areas are very good at what they do.”

This year’s track team seems very confident in the upcoming season, both in everyone individually and in the team as a whole. There is no doubt that they will be incredibly successful this season.
